PENNSYLVANIA — Republican State Representative Craig Williams, a former Federal Prosecutor and United States Marine Corps combat veteran, has declared his candidacy for Pennsylvania Attorney General. He also unveiled his first campaign advertisement on Tuesday.
“Pennsylvania needs an Attorney General who prioritizes prosecution over political posturing,” said Williams. He emphasized that he aims to improve the quality of life for seniors, children, and hardworking citizens by prosecuting violent criminals, drug dealers, crooked politicians, and those committing crimes against the vulnerable.
Williams, a lifelong Republican, expressed confidence about his chances in the upcoming election. “I am a Republican who can win next November,” he stated. He further asserted that the Attorney General should be loyal to the United States and Pennsylvania Constitutions, rather than special interests.
The state representative plans to rely on grassroots volunteers for his campaign, contrasting his approach with those who depend on political insiders in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. “Their strategy loses elections time after time, and this next election is crucial for Republicans. We must win. And I win,” he added.
Williams brings extensive experience to his run for office. A decorated Marine Corps veteran, he retired as a Colonel after 28 years of service, during which he flew 56 combat missions in the Gulf War. His legal career includes serving as the chief prosecutor for the largest base in the Marine Corps and working as a Federal Prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University, a Juris Doctor with high honors from the University of Florida College of Law, and a Master of Laws with high honors in Jurisprudence from the Columbia University School of Law. Williams resides in Concord Township, Delaware County, with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children.
