PENNSYLVANIA — Nathaniel Price, a 25-year-old Indiana County resident, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree murder, robbery, and other charges related to the 2016 deaths of Timothy Gardner and Jaqueline Brink. The plea was entered in the Indiana County Court on Monday of this week.

Judge Thomas M. Bianco accepted the plea and, under the terms of the agreement, sentenced Price to serve between 65 and 130 years in prison. The charges stemmed from a fateful incident at Gardner’s residence where both victims were killed in an attempt to rob them.

Price, along with two other co-defendants, was accused of brutally taking the lives of Gardner and his girlfriend, Brink, during the robbery. “In an attempt to steal money, the defendant callously took the lives of two individuals. First, killing someone he knew, and then proceeding to kill someone who happened to be a witness to the crime,” stated Attorney General Henry.

The Attorney General expressed hope that the plea would bring some closure to the victims’ families and loved ones. He added, “While we cannot bring back the lives that were lost, the defendant will be held accountable for his crimes.”

In addition to the murder charges, Price also pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, criminal mischief, and recklessly endangering another person.

According to the investigation led by the Pennsylvania State Police, Price and his co-defendants traveled to Gardner’s home on October 27, 2016, with the intention of robbing him. Once at the residence, Gardner was attacked with a metal bar by one of the co-defendants before Price took his life. Price then proceeded upstairs and ended Brink’s life, who had witnessed the initial crime.
