Pennsylvania Powerball Players Strike Gold: Four Tickets Worth a Combined $3.2 Million!

Powerball

PENNSYLVANIA — As the Powerball® jackpot skyrockets to a staggering $1.4 billion ahead of Saturday’s drawing, the Pennsylvania Lottery is celebrating four lucky ticket holders from the October 4 draw, who have collectively won a cool $3.2 million. These fortunate winners hail from Luzerne County, Philadelphia, York, and Allegheny counties.

CITGO in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, sold the highest winning ticket worth $2 million, earning a handsome $10,000 bonus. Meanwhile, United Food Market in Philadelphia sold a ticket worth $1 million and bagged a $5,000 bonus. Turkey Hill in York and Rite Aid in Pittsburgh each sold tickets worth $100,000 and received a $500 bonus.

The $2 million-winning ticket matched all five white balls drawn—9, 35, 54, 63, 64—and thanks to the Power Play® option, doubled its value from $1 million to $2 million. The $1 million ticket also matched all five white balls. The two $100,000 tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball® 1, doubling their worth from $50,000 to $100,000 with the $1 Power Play® option.

Winners are only known once prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. The lucky winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.

This recent jackpot run has generated over $95 million in sales since July 22, 2023, contributing a profit of more than $38 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

The upcoming Powerball® jackpot, expected to reach an annuity value of $1.4 billion or $643.7 million cash, ranks as the game’s third-largest jackpot and the fifth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot. Pennsylvania Lottery players can purchase their tickets online or visit a retailer.

Here’s to the lucky winners, and good luck to all participants in the upcoming draw!
