WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Robert Mansberger, 58, of Cassville, Pennsylvania, was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 21, 2023. The charges against him include attempted enticement of a minor, according to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam.

The indictment alleges that Mansberger attempted to persuade, entice, and coerce a minor child to engage in prostitution and sexual activity in Centre County on November 10, 2023.

The case was investigated by several law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Pennsylvania State Police, Patton Township Police, the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, Williamsport Police, and the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin is prosecuting the case.

If found guilty, Mansberger could face a maximum penalty under federal law that includes life imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. Any sentence following a finding of guilt would be imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

An indictment is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
