PENNSYLVANIA — January was a monumental month for Pennsylvania Lottery players, with scratch-off winners claiming an impressive total of $213,067,281 in prizes. The lucky winners hailed from counties across the state, highlighting the widespread excitement that the lottery brings to Pennsylvanians.

The month’s biggest winners were two players from Susquehanna and Berks counties, who each claimed top prizes worth a staggering $5 million. Not far behind were two winners from Chester and Montgomery counties, who each walked away with cool $3 million prizes. In addition, four fortunate players from Lancaster, Cambria, Montgomery, and Allegheny counties each claimed top prizes of $1 million.

Retailers who sold these winning tickets also had reason to celebrate. Montrose Convenience Inc. in Susquehanna County, Weis Markets in Berks County, and GIANT Food Stores and Wawa in Montgomery County each earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the $5 million and $3 million-winning tickets. BIGDOGZ GRILL in Cambria County, Rutter’s in Blair County, Rite Aid in Allegheny County, and Fine Wine & Good Spirits in Montgomery County received a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning Scratch-Off tickets worth $1 million.

But the winnings didn’t stop there! Prizes ranging from $100,000 to $500,000 were claimed across Pennsylvania, adding to January’s excitement. Fifteen lucky players claimed prizes of $500,000, while others took home prizes of $300,000, $250,000, $200,000, and $150,000.

As always, the Pennsylvania Lottery is reminding players to check their tickets promptly and claim any winnings immediately. Prizes expire one year from a Scratch-Off game’s end-sale date. The rules, remaining prizes, and specific chances of winning can all be found on the Pennsylvania Lottery website.

It’s important to remember that scratch-offs are distributed at random. The Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold until a prize has been claimed. This ensures fairness and keeps the anticipation high for lottery players.

January’s big wins have certainly set the tone for a thrilling year ahead in the Pennsylvania Lottery. So, why not try your luck? You could be the next big winner!
