Pennsylvania Lottery Awards $2.4 Million in Prizes with Historic Powerball Run

Powerball

PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Lottery has recognized five winning Powerball® tickets, totaling $2.4 million in prizes. This includes a $2 million prize in Clearfield County and four $100,000 prizes in Philadelphia, Lawrence, Clarion, and Bucks counties. The historic Powerball® jackpot run ended with a $1.08 billion jackpot-winning ticket sold in California, making it the third-largest Powerball® jackpot and sixth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot.

Congratulations to Walmart, located at 20 Industrial Drive in DuBois, Clearfield County, who earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the $2 million winning ticket Powerball® with Power Play®.

Additionally, the retailers who sold the $100,000 Powerball® with Power Play® winning tickets each of have earned a $500 bonus as a token of appreciation for their contribution.

  • – Wawa, located at 12004 East Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia
  • – Ho Ho Food Mart, situated at 701 East Lutton St. in New Castle, Lawrence County
  • – Choice, which can be found at 533 East State St. in Knox, Clarion County
  • – LUKOIL, located at 4613 Street Road in Trevose, Bucks County.

The Powerball® ticket worth $2 million matched all five white balls drawn: 7, 10, 11, 13, and 24. The four other Powerball® tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball® (24), winning $100,000 each. Without the $1 Power Play® option, the $2 million-winning ticket would have been worth $1 million, and the $100,000 tickets would have been worth $50,000 each. The Power Play® multiplier drawn was two.

Prior to the recent win in California, the Powerball® jackpot has been rolling since April 19, 2023, when it was last won in Ohio. In Pennsylvania alone, this jackpot run resulted in sales of nearly $96 million, profiting over $38 million to support older Pennsylvanians.

Among them, more than 55,200 tickets were purchased with Power Play®, and over 21,200 tickets were purchased with Double Play®. Remember to check every ticket, every time.

The Powerball jackpot has exceeded $1 billion three times in the game’s history: the record-breaking $2.04 billion jackpot last year, the $1.586 billion jackpot in 2016, and the recent $1.08 billion jackpot won on Wednesday.
