MIDDLETOWN, PA — The Pennsylvania Lottery recently awarded significant prizes to two lucky players from different parts of the state. A resident from Berks County won a remarkable prize of $1 million on a Mega Millions® ticket purchased online for the Tuesday, June 11 drawing. The winning ticket matched all five white balls drawn, which were 1-5-7-22-24, but not the yellow Mega Ball 8.
Lottery officials remind winners that prizes are only confirmed once tickets are claimed and validated. Mega Millions® winners in Pennsylvania have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Anyone who purchases a winning ticket at a Lottery retailer should immediately sign the back of the ticket to secure their prize.
In another exciting win, a player from Philadelphia took home $100,000 with a Powerball® with Power Play® ticket bought online for the Wednesday, June 12 drawing. This ticket matched four out of the five white balls drawn (19-30-31-61-62) and the red Powerball® 21. The addition of the $1 Power Play® option doubled the prize from $50,000 to $100,000, thanks to the Power Play® multiplier of two.
On Thursday, Pennsylvania Lottery officials presented a commemorative check to the winner of a $1 million Scratch-Off ticket named $1,000,000 Game. This presentation took place at the BP gas station (Radhe Oil Corporation) located at 222 Buffalo St., Freeport, Armstrong County, where the winning ticket was sold. For selling the winning ticket, the retailer received a $5,000 bonus.
The $1,000,000 Game Scratch-Off, which went on sale on December 27, 2022, is a $20 game offering top prizes of $1 million.
These recent wins highlight the excitement and life-changing potential of playing the Pennsylvania Lottery.
