HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Michelle Henry has introduced a new complaint form for Pennsylvanians experiencing airline travel issues such as flight delays, cancellations, or boarding problems. This initiative responds to a rising number of consumer complaints about air travel nationwide.

The new form, accessible on the Office of Attorney General’s website, results from a collaboration between Attorney General Henry and the U.S. Department of Transportation. The goal is to better assist Pennsylvania travelers by simplifying the complaint process.

Consumers can file complaints whether they bought tickets directly or through an agent or third party. The form is available to Pennsylvania residents or those who faced airline issues within the state.

“It is no longer a secret that Pennsylvanians and consumers across the country are finding less and less convenience when traveling by air,” said Attorney General Henry. “This form makes it easier for travelers who encounter problems to file a complaint, and is part of an ongoing initiative with federal partners to hold airlines and agents accountable when they mistreat consumers.”

The form requires detailed information, including ticket number, flight itinerary, flight date, purchase date, ticket price, and payment method. This data is essential for reviewing and resolving complaints effectively.

The introduction of this complaint form follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Office of Attorney General and the U.S. Department of Transportation. This MOU outlines the cooperation between the agencies to review consumer complaints and identify any violations of federal aviation consumer protection rules.

Later this year, the Department of Transportation plans to launch an updated system for handling air travel service complaints. This new system aims to enhance the experience for the tens of thousands of consumers who file complaints annually. The Office of the Attorney General will also provide information on how to submit complaints directly to the Department of Transportation in the future.
