NextGen PAC’s President, Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez, remarked on the crucial role young voters play in the progressive movement, highlighting the candidates’ commitment to critical issues such as democracy defense, climate action, and reproductive rights. “Young voters are driving the momentum for progressive change, and these candidates embody the bold leadership needed to tackle our generation’s most pressing concerns,” Tzintzún Ramirez stated.
Cortney Bouse, NextGen PAC’s Pennsylvania State Director, emphasized the importance of these endorsements as Pennsylvania House Democrats currently hold a slim majority. “These candidates have shown that they will continue to stand up for the values and lead on issues that directly impact young people in Pennsylvania,” Bouse said. The focus of this initiative is to ensure that the interests of young voters are represented in the state government.
NextGen PAC’s endorsement strategy is part of a broader effort to replicate the success of the 2020 election cycle, where the organization was instrumental in mobilizing young voters, leading to the highest youth turnout in U.S. history. As the 2024 elections approach, NextGen PAC is committed to empowering young voters to advocate for a progressive future, supporting candidates who align with their values.
These endorsements are seen as vital for maintaining and expanding progressive influence within Pennsylvania, potentially impacting policy decisions on key issues that resonate with younger demographics, thereby shaping the state’s political trajectory for years to come.
