PENNSYLVANIA — Attention, Pennsylvania Lottery players! A Powerball® ticket worth a cool $1 million was sold at East Roadrunner on Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County, and it’s yet to be claimed. The ticket, from the Saturday, February 4, 2023, drawing, correctly matched five of the five white balls drawn — numbers 2, 8, 15, 19, and 58.
The clock is ticking, as the prize must be claimed by Sunday, February 4, 2024. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the lucky winner to sign the back of the ticket and file a timely claim at any of the Lottery’s seven area offices, which are open to the public between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Appointments are recommended.
For those who missed the announcement, the winning Powerball numbers for February 4, 2023, were 02, 08, 15, 19, 58, with a Powerball of 10. While no one hit the jackpot, which has now rolled over to a staggering $747 million, one Pennsylvanian matched all five numbers, winning $1 million.
In addition to the million-dollar winner, three players matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball, each receiving $50,000. Seventy players matched four of five, each pocketing $100, while 166 matched three of five and the Powerball, each collecting $100.
The Pennsylvania Lottery advises players to check every ticket, every time, using self-service scanners found at retailers or with the Ticket Checker on the Lottery’s Official App. Signing tickets immediately provides proof of ownership.
By law, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians. Even if this particular prize goes unclaimed, it will contribute to a worthy cause.
However, the Pennsylvania Lottery hopes to congratulate the lucky winner soon. If you bought a Powerball ticket from East Roadrunner on February 4, 2023, it’s time to double-check those numbers. You could be Pennsylvania’s newest millionaire!
