WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Christopher Crispen, a 32-year-old resident of Howard, Pennsylvania, was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 21, 2023. The charges against Crispen include attempted enticement of a minor and attempted receipt of child pornography, according to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam.

The indictment alleges that between November 8 and November 9, 2023, in Centre County, Crispen attempted to persuade, entice, and coerce a minor to engage in prostitution and sexual activity. Furthermore, the indictment claims that Crispen attempted to receive child pornography on November 8, 2023.

Investigation into the case was conducted by several law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Pennsylvania State Police, Patton Township Police, the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, Williamsport Police, and the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin is prosecuting the case.

If found guilty, Crispen could face a maximum penalty under federal law, which includes life imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. The final sentence, following a finding of guilt, would be imposed by the Judge after considering the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

As always, an indictment is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
