Man Indicted on Charges of Attempted Enticement of a Minor

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — A federal grand jury has indicted Gregory A. Wilson, 50, of Lewistown, Pennsylvania, on charges of attempted enticement of a minor. The indictment was announced on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, the indictment alleges that Wilson attempted to persuade, entice, and coerce a minor child to engage in prostitution and sexual activity in Centre County on November 8, 2023.

The investigation into the case was a collaborative effort involving the FBI, Pennsylvania State Police, Patton Township Police, the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, Williamsport Police, and the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin is prosecuting the case.

If found guilty, the maximum penalty under federal law for this offense includes life imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. The sentencing will be determined by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

An indictment is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
