HARRISBURG, PA — The State Library of Pennsylvania has announced an upcoming “Virtual Lunch and Learn” session titled Goth Music, scheduled for January 16, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM. This online program will explore the evolution of goth music, its roots in glam, psychobilly, and punk, and its enduring cultural impact.
Presented in partnership with Carol Buck, curator at the State Museum of Pennsylvania, the session will feature a discussion between Buck and Bill Fee. Fans of iconic bands like The Cure, Type O Negative, and Evanescence are encouraged to attend this engaging exploration of a genre that continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
This free program is open to Commonwealth employees, State Library patrons, members of public libraries across Pennsylvania, and the general public. A highlights document will be made available following the session for those unable to attend live.
The event will be hosted via Microsoft Teams, with a registration link sent to participants one day prior to the meeting. Interested attendees are encouraged to register online promptly to secure their participation.
