Justice Served: Predator Who Targeted Pennsylvania Teen Convicted in Shocking Cross-Country Crime

Court News

HARRISBURG, PA — A Blair County jury has convicted Don Robison, a 43-year-old California resident, of multiple felony charges involving the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl from Altoona, Pennsylvania. The verdict, delivered last Thursday, included three counts of unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication device.

Robison, a registered sex offender in California, posed online as a 13-year-old to gain the trust of his victim. He then traveled cross-country to the child’s residence, where he convinced her to disable the home’s security system before assaulting her.

“This predator deceived and manipulated the victim, traveling across the country to carry out unspeakable crimes,” said Attorney General Dave Sunday. “I am appalled by this behavior, and I hope this verdict sends a message that crimes against children in Pennsylvania will not be tolerated.”

The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorneys General Kimberly Moraski and Jacob Jividen. Robison’s sentencing is scheduled for May 11, where he faces significant penalties for his actions.
