PITTSBURGH, PA — A former resident of Washington, Pennsylvania, has been hit with a 65-month federal prison sentence. United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced the sentencing on Tuesday.

Tecko Tartt, 37, was handed down the sentence by United States District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand. In addition to his prison term, Tartt will also serve two years of supervised release, ensuring continued oversight of his actions after his incarceration.

The court was informed that following a long-term wiretap investigation, federal agents raided Tartt’s residence on May 31, 2021. During the search, they confiscated a loaded handgun, 216 bundles of fluorofentanyl, two bags of cocaine, and $20,932 in cash.

Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty led the prosecution of this case, ensuring that justice was served on behalf of the government.

United States Attorney Olshan praised the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pennsylvania State Police, and Perryopolis Police Department for their meticulous investigation, which led to Tartt’s successful prosecution. The case serves as yet example of the severe consequences awaiting those who violate federal narcotics and firearms laws.
