KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of job fairs this January to recruit qualified candidates for open positions across its Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery County Maintenance facilities.

The scheduled hiring events will take place at the following locations and times:

  • Saturday, January 11, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Delaware County Maintenance Facility, 426 South Old Middletown Road, Media, PA, 19063. For more details, call 610-566-0972.
  • Saturday, January 11, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Montgomery County Maintenance Facility, 2005 Swede Road, Norristown, PA, 19401. For more details, call 610-275-2368.
  • Thursday, January 16, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Bucks County Maintenance Facility, 6160 Potters Lane, Pipersville, PA, 18947. For more details, call 215-345-6060.
  • Thursday, January 16, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Chester County Maintenance Facility, 711 Ryan Boulevard, Coatesville, PA, 19320. For more details, call 484-340-3200.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply through the state employment portal at employment.pa.gov, even if they are unable to attend a scheduled hiring event. Prospective candidates can view a range of open positions available both locally and statewide, with no county residency requirements for the roles they apply for.

Job openings include positions such as Transportation Equipment Operator-A, Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee, Diesel Construction Equipment Mechanic, Highway Maintenance Worker, and entry roles under the Summer Employment College Program.

Applicants without internet access ahead of time can complete their applications on-site, where staff equipped with laptops will assist attendees. PennDOT plans to conduct on-the-spot interviews and, when available, administer driving tests for roles requiring a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). CDL applicants should bring their current driver’s license and medical examiner’s certificate to the event. Training for a CDL will be provided for candidates hired into the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee role.
