Andrew Tubbs Named President and CEO of Energy Association of Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, PA — The Energy Association of Pennsylvania (EAP) has announced the appointment of Andrew Tubbs as its new president and CEO, effective January 27. Tubbs, a seasoned energy industry leader with over two decades of experience, steps into the role at a pivotal time for Pennsylvania’s energy sector.

Tubbs’ extensive career includes noteworthy roles in regulatory policy, legislative affairs, and utility operations. He previously led regulatory strategy across six states for NiSource and its subsidiaries, served as vice president of external and customer affairs for Columbia Gas, and worked as a legal expert in state and federal energy law with Post & Schell, P.C. His experience also includes serving as counsel to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

“Andy’s deep understanding of the energy industry and commitment to transformation will be instrumental as EAP addresses the ever-changing landscape of energy policy and innovation in Pennsylvania,” said EAP board chairman Michael Huwar, who is also president of Peoples Gas. “His proven ability to drive strategic initiatives will strengthen our efforts to provide safe and reliable service to customers at a cost they can value.”

Tubbs will lead EAP’s strategic initiatives to advocate for the energy industry while ensuring collaboration among policymakers, regulators, and utility providers. EAP plays a critical role in balancing economic growth, sustainability, reliability, and customer affordability in Pennsylvania’s energy sector, serving more than 8.7 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
