MIDDLETOWN, PA — Players are urged to check their tickets as a Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® with Power Play® ticket worth $100,000 sold in Cumberland County is set to expire soon. The winning ticket, sold at the GIANT Food Stores on 255 South Spring Garden St., Carlisle, was for the drawing on Monday, August 14, 2023.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls (32-34-37-39-47) and the red Powerball (3), securing a prize of $100,000, less applicable withholding. Without the Power Play® option, the prize would have been $50,000. The multiplier drawn was two.

To claim the prize, a claim must be filed with the Pennsylvania Lottery by Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Claims can be submitted either by mail or at any Lottery Area Office. All area offices are open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with appointments recommended. However, the PA Lottery Headquarters in Middletown remains closed to visitors.

Unclaimed lottery prizes stay in the Lottery Fund to support programs for older Pennsylvanians. In Pennsylvania, players have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes, unlike some lotteries that offer only 90 or 180 days.

Players are encouraged to check every ticket using self-service scanners at retailers or the Ticket Checker on the Lottery’s official app. Tickets should be signed immediately for proof of ownership.

Check your tickets and ensure you don’t miss out on this significant prize before it expires.
