WEST CHESTER, PA — In a released statement, Kadida Kenner, CEO of the New Pennsylvania Project, expresses disappointment in the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision rejecting affirmative action. They remain committed to uplifting historically marginalized communities. The organization emphasizes the importance of electing fair-minded leaders and continues its work in voter registration and civic engagement.

“Our organization is heartbroken and disappointed by [the] U.S. Supreme Court decision in Harvard-UNC that rejects affirmative action. The New Pennsylvania Project fights daily to uplift historically neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work.

“To the individuals from our centered communities who feel pain from [this] decision our message is clear: We know Pennsylvania is at its best when we bring down barriers to ensure all of us can thrive, and we remain committed to doing our part to help make that happen. This also serves as a reminder on the importance of electing leaders who will prioritize appointing and confirming fair-minded federal judges and justices who share our vision, and also value the impacted communities we center in our work.”
