PHILADELPHIA, PA — The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced the cancellation of its job fair originally scheduled for January 9, 2024, due to the national day of mourning. The event will now take place on January 30, 2024, at its Vehicle Maintenance Facility, located at 3201 South 74th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19153. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The USPS, under its “Delivering for America” plan, continues to prioritize workforce expansion, offering competitive opportunities for qualified candidates. The job fair will focus on recruiting auto technicians and lead auto technicians, with hourly wages of over $30 and $33, respectively.
“This is a great opportunity for auto technicians and lead auto technicians to join us while working for one of the most trusted brands in America,” said USPS spokesman Paul F. Smith.
During the event, USPS personnel will be available to assist applicants, provide detailed information about the roles, and answer any questions. On-site services will include application submissions, interviews, and fingerprinting. Applicants must meet a minimum age requirement of 18 years and pass drug screening and background checks.
With the rescheduled job fair, USPS aims to strengthen its workforce while offering valuable opportunities to the public.
