WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Food and Drug Administration announced that Too Good Gourmet of San Lorenzo, CA, is recalling Meijer Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip owing to undeclared milk. This poses a serious risk for individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities, potentially leading to life-threatening reactions.

The recall impacts products sold at Meijer stores across several states, including Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin. The affected cookies were packaged in 10 oz. tall clear containers with a blue and white label, bearing the UPC code 713733712972. All “Best if Used By” dates are part of this recall.

To date, neither Too Good Gourmet nor Meijer have received any complaints or reports of illness related to this recall. The issue was identified when the milk allergen was found to be missing from the ingredient declaration and the “Contains” statement on the product label. Meijer was not informed of this label inaccuracy.

Consumers in possession of the recalled cookies should discontinue use immediately and return the product to any Meijer customer service desk for a full refund. For further inquiries, customers can contact Meijer at 800-543-3704 from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. EDT daily, or Too Good Gourmet at 510-317-8150 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday.
