National Night Out: Communities Across the Nation Unite with Law Enforcement

National Night Out 2024

WYNNEWOOD, PA — On August 6th, in over 17,000 communities across all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide, citizens, law enforcement agencies, community groups, and local officials will come together to celebrate the 41st Annual National Night Out (NNO). This event, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, aims to strengthen the bond between communities and local police forces.

National Night Out is supported by partners including ADT, Starbucks, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar, the 7-Eleven Cares Foundation, Swank Motion Pictures, Associa, and L.E.A.D. With these sponsors, millions of people are expected to participate in this year’s festivities.

Matt Peskin, the creator of National Night Out, noted a significant increase in the number of cities and towns registering for the event this year. “Local coordinators are anxious to showcase their strong relationships with first responders,” Peskin said. “National Night Out is a celebration of neighborhoods who work with law enforcement year-round to build safer, more caring communities.”

National Night Out will feature a variety of events designed to bring communities together and foster a sense of security. These include block parties, cookouts, parades, potlucks, festivals, ice cream socials, neighborhood visits by first responders, flashlight walks, and neighborhood meetings.
