WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall by Sunco & Frenchie LLC of Pine Brook, New Jersey, for their 10-ounce Terrafina Golden Raisins. The recall is due to the presence of undeclared sulfites, posing a significant health risk to individuals with sulfite allergies or sensitivities.

These raisins, distributed by Smith Valley Foods, LLC, reached retail stores across New York. Packaged in clear, square-shaped containers with distinctive bright orange labels, the affected products bear the Best If Used By dates of 08/2025 with Lot#GRA240602 and 05/2025 with Lot#GDR240901. The UPC for these products is 847938001385.

The recall follows routine sampling conducted by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors, which identified the undeclared allergen. As of now, no illnesses have been reported.

Consumers in possession of these raisins are strongly advised against consumption and urged to return the products to their purchase location for a full refund. For further inquiries, Sunco & Frenchie LLC can be reached at 973-478-1011, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT.

This recall serves as a critical reminder of the potential dangers of allergen exposure. The FDA stated that it continues to monitor the situation to ensure consumer safety.
