WEST CHESTER, PA — A much-needed boost for addiction support services in Chester County came yesterday as State Representative Chris Pielli, D-Chester, presented a check for $25,000 to Justice Rain Inc., a local organization that provides comprehensive assistance for individuals battling addiction and mental health issues.
The $25,000 sum is part of state grant funds announced earlier this year. It will be utilized by Justice Rain for their housing and addiction rehabilitation center, Havilah House.
State Rep. Pielli praised the work done by Justice Rain Inc. and emphasized the essential role such organizations play in local communities. “This is state government at work helping neighbors who are trying to help themselves and lead productive lives within our community,” Pielli said. “Organizations that help others, especially at the local level, need all the support they can get. I am proud to have Justice Rain Inc. right here in West Chester to provide a wide range of services to the people of Chester County.”
Havilah House has been instrumental in changing lives in Chester County, providing shelter and rehabilitation for women suffering from addiction and housing insecurity. With Pennsylvania facing a significant addiction crisis and issues with housing accessibility, Pielli underscored the importance of supporting programs like those offered by Havilah House. He stressed the necessity of maintaining robust safeguards for those grappling with these challenges.
With a holistic approach to rehabilitation, Havilah House extends beyond merely providing affordable housing and addiction care. The center also offers a plethora of educational services, including stress management, family planning, and fiscal responsibility courses. These services equip residents with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead a healthy, productive life post-rehabilitation. This recent funding will undoubtedly help Justice Rain Inc. continue its vital work in the Chester County community.
