PAOLI, PA — State Representative Melissa Shusterman, serving the 157th Legislative District, is set to engage with her constituents through a series of fall events. These gatherings are designed to foster community engagement, provide valuable resources, and offer assistance to residents across Chester County.
The first event, “Coffee with Your Representative,” is scheduled for Thursday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Phoenixville YMCA. This informal meeting offers residents a unique opportunity to discuss state government issues directly with Rep. Shusterman and her team. Attendees can also collect a Pennsylvania-themed coloring book for children, register for a Senior SEPTA pass, and learn about the various services available through Shusterman’s office.
On Saturday, October 5, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., or until capacity is reached, Rep. Shusterman will host a Fall Shredding event at Penn State Great Valley Campus in Malvern. This event provides a secure way for residents to dispose of up to three bags or boxes of personal documents per person. Alongside the shredding service, a food drive will be held to benefit the Chester County Food Bank. Participants are encouraged to donate non-perishable items, including breakfast cereal, canned proteins, hearty soups, beans, and rice.
The series concludes with the annual Veterans Breakfast on Thursday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Founding Forward at Valley Forge, previously known as the Freedoms Foundation. This event is dedicated to honoring veterans residing in Willistown, Easttown, Tredyffrin, and Schuylkill Townships. Attendees will enjoy a nutritious breakfast while listening to impactful speakers from the veteran community. Information on various benefits and resources available to veterans will also be shared. Registration is required.
These events aim to address the needs of Rep. Shusterman’s constituents and foster a sense of community. For further details or inquiries, residents can contact Shusterman’s district office at 484-200-8260.
