CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is inviting residents to participate in upcoming discussions regarding the reconstruction of a 1.7-mile section of U.S. 30 through the Business U.S. 30 and Route 10 interchanges in Sadsbury and West Sadsbury townships. This effort, known as Section 10, is part of a broader initiative to upgrade the Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass. The project’s primary objectives include enhancing safety, alleviating congestion, supporting planned growth, and improving road infrastructure and connectivity.

PennDOT emphasizes the importance of community involvement in shaping the project and encourages the public to join a live virtual meeting on Wednesday, October 2, at 6:00 PM. Participants can access the meeting via Microsoft Live Teams, where the design team will present project details and respond to questions through a Q&A session. Those interested will need internet access and a compatible device to attend the virtual meeting.

For those unable to join online, an in-person meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, at 6:00 PM at Gateway Church, located at 160 Cowan Road in Parkesburg, PA. This session will mirror the virtual meeting, providing another opportunity for public engagement and feedback.

PennDOT aims to ensure the project meets the community’s needs and encourages individuals with special requirements to reach out to Project Manager Steven Fellin or Design Project Manager Nicole Kline for assistance. Public participation is crucial for the success of this infrastructure project, which promises significant improvements to the region’s transportation network.
