WEST GROVE, PA — LCH Health and Community Services is anticipating the grand opening of the Pia Center for Behavioral Health. LCH’s new facility will allow expanded access to critical mental health services within our community. This initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of Nancy and Michael Pia.
Recognizing the escalating mental health challenges and rising demand for care within our community, Nancy and Michael felt compelled to be part of the solution. In Nancy’s reflection on her vision behind the partnership, she expressed her deep commitment to equality of care:
“Community is important. Not everyone has the support of a family, and sometimes, the only connection to assistance and care is through the community. LCH provides that,” says Nancy Pia.
Last year alone, LCH provided behavioral health services to 1,041 patients in Chester County and the demand for these services continues to rise –– underscoring the urgent need for expanded access to care.
Scheduled to open this fall, the Pia Center will specialize in treating anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and other mood disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and substance-related disorders. LCH is actively recruiting mental health professionals who are passionate about improving mental health for all ages and demographics.
As Nancy emphasized, “If you really want to make a difference, work in a place like LCH. Many of the patients that come to LCH face significant challenges. The fulfillment you will get from changing someone’s life will be tenfold.”
