HARRISBURG, PA — State Representative Chris Pielli, D-Chester, officially commenced his second term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives this week, following a swearing-in ceremony at the state Capitol. Representing the 156th Legislative District, Pielli reaffirmed his commitment to tackling critical issues facing his constituents and the Commonwealth.

“It is truly an honor to take the oath of office for a consecutive term,” Rep. Pielli stated. He expressed enthusiasm for advancing his legislative priorities during the upcoming session.

Key areas of focus for Pielli’s second term include advocating for a living wage, affordable housing solutions, tax relief for working families and seniors, and ensuring access to affordable education opportunities for college-bound students and those pursuing trade careers. He also emphasized protecting women’s reproductive rights and bolstering local business growth as part of his agenda.

The Pennsylvania General Assembly, now in its 209th legislative session, convened on January 1, 2025. The session, consisting of 202 members, will continue through November 30, 2026, providing a platform for lawmakers like Pielli to address statewide challenges.

The oath of office was administered by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Debra Todd, and the session began with an invocation delivered by Bishop Maureen L. Davis of the Open Door Mission True Light Church in Philadelphia.

Pielli’s re-election and ongoing service underscore his dedication to representing the 156th District and driving meaningful policy changes for the benefit of his constituents.
