Rep. Mary Isaacson Takes On Key Legislative Roles to Tackle PA’s Toughest Challenges!

HARRISBURG, PA — State Representative Mary Isaacson (D-Philadelphia) has revealed her committee assignments for the upcoming 2025-26 legislative session following her swearing-in for a fourth term in office on Tuesday. Isaacson will serve on six key House committees, reflecting her focus on addressing critical state and local issues.

Her assignments include the House Education Committee, Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities Committee, Transportation Committee, Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Committee, Ethics Committee, and Liquor Control Committee. These positions will allow her to influence policy ranging from infrastructure and education to ethical governance and environmental concerns.

Expressing gratitude for the appointments, Isaacson stated, “I’m incredibly thankful to Speaker Joanna McClinton and Leader Bradford for honoring me with these committee assignments. Committees serve as a way for lawmakers to gather information from experts and those personally affected by the issues on the table.”

Isaacson also holds the role of vice-chair for the House Democratic Policy Committee, where she will help shape legislation on a broad array of issues impacting Pennsylvanians.
“Having conversations and listening to new perspectives is vital to ensuring that we are making informed decisions,” she added. “From better educational opportunities and funding to transportation issues, I look forward to having a seat at the table and addressing issues facing both Philadelphia and the commonwealth.”
