WEST CHESTER, PA — Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) has announced her 81st town hall, with a focus on housing resources for residents of Berks and Chester Counties. The telephone town hall, scheduled for Thursday, December 21 at 5 p.m., will see Houlahan joined by Dolores Colligan, Director of the Chester County Department of Community Development, and Ashley Chambers, Senior Vice President of Community Impact for the United Way of Berks County. The trio will answer housing-related questions posed by community members.
Houlahan expressed her understanding of the ongoing concerns Pennsylvanians have about housing and heating costs. “That’s why I want to help our community members access resources to find quality and affordable housing,” she said. Houlahan also mentioned her advocacy for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), a national initiative that helps low-income Americans heat their homes. Thousands of families in Pennsylvania have benefited from this program.
The upcoming town hall aims to provide an open forum for residents to discuss their housing concerns and learn about available resources. Besides discussing general housing issues, the event is likely to address topics such as affordable housing options, home energy assistance programs, and community development initiatives.
To join the telephone town hall, interested participants can dial (855) 731-4616. An online option is also available through a live stream on houlahan.house.gov/live or Facebook Live. The event is open to the public, and community members can RSVP to receive a day-of reminder.
This town hall is part of Houlahan’s ongoing efforts to engage with her constituents and address their concerns directly. By focusing on housing resources, she aims to help residents navigate the complexities of finding and maintaining affordable and quality housing.
