WAYNE, PA — Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX) has unveiled the Teleflex Center for Antimicrobial Protection (TCAP), a dedicated arm of its Vascular Access business unit. The new center, set in Research Triangle, North Carolina, aims to address the growing threat of infections from multidrug-resistant organisms — often referred to as “superbugs.”
These infections pose significant risks to patients, potentially leading to severe complications and prolonged hospital stays. TCAP will serve as a hub for education and collaboration with infection prevention professionals, striving to be a valuable resource for patients, physicians, and healthcare organizations.
“Teleflex strives to deliver vascular access products that are designed to benefit both clinicians and patients by helping to reduce vascular access-related complications,” stated Lisa Kudlacz, President and General Manager of Teleflex Vascular. She emphasized TCAP’s dedication to antimicrobial catheter technology and its role in mitigating central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI).
Under the leadership of Chuck Gartner, Director of Marketing – Strategic Initiatives, TCAP aims to provide high-quality products and services. The center will focus on pioneering catheter protection technologies and developing innovative vascular access devices, reinforcing Teleflex’s commitment to enhancing patient care and safety.
