KENNETT SQUARE, PA — LCH Health and Community Services has been leveraging its partnership with MAVEN Project since 2022 to improve access to specialty medical care for patients in Southern Chester County. Through this collaboration, LCH uses MAVEN’s technology platform to connect its providers with specialist physicians, helping to address gaps in care for underserved populations.
MAVEN Project offers virtual consultations, mentoring, and continuing education for healthcare providers working in community health centers. LCH providers can seek guidance on complex cases through these consultations, ensuring patients receive timely and accurate medical advice. “At MAVEN Project, our ultimate goal is ensuring that patients…receive the high-quality specialty care they need, when they need it,” said Meredith Schanda, COO and Interim CEO of MAVEN Project.
One notable success story involves Regan Pavlock, a pediatric provider at LCH, who utilized MAVEN’s services for a 17-year-old patient presenting with lab results signaling a possible brain tumor. Pavlock’s consultation with volunteer pediatric endocrinologist Dr. Paul Kaplowitz confirmed the urgency of the case, leading to the patient’s swift diagnosis and treatment. LCH continued supporting the patient with insurance assistance and primary care.
CEO of LCH, Ronan W. Gannon, highlighted the partnership’s value, stating, “Resources like MAVEN Project allow our providers to support every patient with high-quality care…Timely access to specialty care saves lives and improves health outcomes.”
By employing MAVEN Project’s virtual care solutions, LCH reinforces its commitment to delivering robust health services while minimizing delays in treatment. The partnership exemplifies the impact of innovation in ensuring equitable health outcomes for underserved communities.
