LEMOYNE, PA — Home sales across Pennsylvania jumped 21% in March compared to February, with 8,230 properties sold, according to the latest report from the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® (PAR). The state’s real estate market also saw an uptick in median sales prices and inventory levels during this period.

The median home price rose 2% from February, reaching $285,000, reflecting a 5% increase year over year. Meanwhile, available inventory climbed nearly 10%, with 32,761 homes on the market in March.

“We traditionally see the real estate market reflect renewed energy in the spring,” said Bill Lublin, PAR president. He highlighted the seasonal trend where sellers list homes during warmer months to showcase their properties at their best, while motivated buyers aim to settle before summer transitions.

Lublin also emphasized the value of working with a Realtor®. “Using a Realtor® provides clients with excellent local insight about the market. They advocate for the clients’ best interests and help navigate the transaction to ensure their best interests are met,” he said.

Both buyers and sellers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with recent changes in the industry, including requirements for written agreements with agents before home showings, to ensure transparency and understanding of the services being provided.

These latest figures signal renewed energy in Pennsylvania’s real estate market, showing positive momentum as the spring season unfolds.
