MALVERN, PA — Meyer has announced the completion of Builders Incorporated’s new corporate headquarters. Located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, the 11,500 sq. ft. building seamlessly integrates traditional materials with modern design elements to create a functional and inspiring workspace for the family-owned contracting firm.
The headquarters showcases Meyer’s commitment to innovative design. The building uses mass timber techniques and incorporates local and historic materials, including stone from the original farm that previously occupied the site. Modern architectural features such as a metal standing roof, black window mullions, and an angled metal canopy provide a striking contrast to the natural materials.
Phil Burkett, Principal at Meyer, expressed his enthusiasm about the project. “We worked with Builders Incorporated to deliver a state-of-the-art headquarters that seamlessly combines design and functionality. The office’s mix of local, historic materials and modern details creates an environment that honors tradition and innovation. This project reflects our shared values of quality, sustainability, and community.”
Strategically located to maximize views of a nearby pond, the new headquarters offers employees a serene and visually appealing environment. This thoughtful siting enhances the connection between the workplace and the natural surroundings, fostering a sense of tranquility and productivity.
Inside, the headquarters features 12-foot-high wood-paneled ceilings with exposed mass timber, industrial metal joinery, ductwork, and piping. The building includes offices, conference rooms, a large café, and warehouse space. The café connects to an outdoor deck equipped with a canopy, lighting, and a large operable glass wall, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. Materials from the old farm were repurposed to construct a stone wall that leads to the entrance, adding a touch of historical significance.
Gregory Hill, President of Builders Incorporated, praised the collaboration with Meyer. “Our new headquarters embodies productivity and innovation. Meyer understood our vision from day one and partnered with us to create a workplace that showcases the high-quality work Builders Incorporated is known for.”
The design team for this project included George Wilson, Todd Sell, Jessica Nixon, Danielle Carter, and Heather Witmer. Other key contributors were MEP engineer Kupper Engineering and structural engineer Bala Consulting Engineers, with Builders Incorporated serving as the construction manager.
