EXTON, PA — Kimberton Whole Foods, a family-owned organic grocer, has announced its lease of 17,500 square feet of warehouse space in Haywood Business Park, Exton, Pennsylvania. This move comes as the company scales its operations to meet growing demand.
The warehouse, located at 711 Haywood Drive, is part of a newly built 35,000-square-foot flex/industrial building designed to support light manufacturing, assembly, research and development, and warehouse needs. The building features 20-foot clear height ceilings, 45-foot column spacing, an ESFR sprinkler system, and robust 277/480V 3Phase 600 AMP electric capacity.
The new space will bolster Kimberton Whole Foods’ distribution capabilities, serving as a vital hub for local vendors providing meat, dairy, produce, eggs, and other fresh products to its stores. It will also support volume purchasing of national brand goods, ensuring competitive pricing and consistent stock levels for customers.
“Distribution can be one of the biggest challenges for small businesses in the food industry. For us to meet our mission of bringing local, wholesome foods to our community, we’ve taken on that distribution process to support our local vendors to increase their reach while minimizing their environmental impact and distribution costs,” said Ezra Brett, chief operations officer of Kimberton Whole Foods. “This new distribution center plays a key role in providing our customers with fresh, high-quality products while supporting our local economy.”
Hankin Group, the real estate company behind Haywood Business Park, welcomed Kimberton Whole Foods into its portfolio of tenants. “We look forward to welcoming Kimberton Whole Foods to Eagleview Town Center next year and are thrilled to help support another critical element of their operations with the warehouse space,” said Sam Sherrill, commercial leasing manager at Hankin Group. “Hankin Group was founded on the principles of community and sustainability, and we take pride in partnering with another family-owned business that shares the same values.”
Haywood Business Park’s strategic location offers access to major routes, including the PA Turnpike and Route 100, and is only 40 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Philadelphia International Airport, and The Port of Philadelphia. The project’s design was led by NORR, with Hankin Construction managing the build.
This development follows Kimberton Whole Foods’ expansion plans, which include the opening of a 14,000-square-foot grocery store in Eagleview Town Center by spring 2026. This store will be the grocer’s largest Chester County location and its eighth overall.
Kimberton Whole Foods’ new warehouse spotlights the company’s commitment to operational growth while maintaining its focus on supporting local communities and sustainability.
