EXTON, PA — Hankin Group this week unveiled Hamilton Passive House, Pennsylvania’s first Phius ZERO apartment community, marking a significant milestone in sustainable residential development. This net-zero luxury building is a key component of the Hamilton at Eagleview, a 156-unit eco-friendly apartment community in Exton, PA.

Phius ZERO represents the highest standard of energy efficiency, ensuring quality, durability, and cost-effective conservation by eliminating on-site fossil fuel use and offsetting energy consumption with renewables. The building is equipped with advanced features, including R40 insulated walls, a solar PV rooftop array generating 217,825 kWh annually, and hybrid heat pump water heaters that offer high efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

Bob Hankin, President and CEO of Hankin Group, expressed pride in the project, stating, “For more than 20 years, Hankin Group has been committed to environmentally-conscious development, and we’re proud to represent the future of sustainable living with Hamilton Passive House.”

James Ortega, Project Certification Manager at Phius, applauded the achievement, noting, “Achieving Phius Certification for a project is an accomplishment worth celebrating as it is representative of the hard work of the project team and shows that this project will be among the most efficient and comfortable buildings in the world.”

Hamilton Passive House offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with sustainable amenities like water-conserving fixtures, induction cooking, triple-pane windows, and Energy Star appliances. Residents also gain access to a range of community amenities, including a resort-style pool, fitness center, and EV charging stations.

Michael Hankin, COO at Hankin Group, emphasized the benefits to residents, saying, “Hamilton Passive House is perfect for those seeking a luxury living experience, while also prioritizing a green lifestyle with reduced environmental impact.”

This development is part of the larger Eagleview community, which integrates residential, commercial, and retail spaces across 800 acres. Eagleview offers a holistic lifestyle with access to a vibrant town center, sports fields, gardens, and more, enhancing the living experience for all residents.

Hankin Group continues to lead in sustainable development, with plans for further expansion at Eagleview and a commitment to environmental restoration projects such as the floodplain restoration at Keva Flats. With these efforts, Hankin Group is shaping the future of eco-conscious living in Chester County and beyond.
