EXTON, PA — West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE: WST) has been recognized with the prestigious Heart of Pharma Award at the 2024 CPHI Awards. This accolade, awarded during the opening night of CPHI Worldwide in Milan, Italy, acknowledges West’s impactful partnership with Fox Chase Cancer Center, part of the Temple University Health System. The award celebrates efforts that foster philanthropic, ethical, and community-based initiatives.
For over twenty years, West has supported Fox Chase Cancer Center, a leading Philadelphia-based institution renowned for its clinical and research excellence in cancer care. In a notable venture, West pledged support for a cutting-edge mobile screening unit, enhancing Fox Chase’s leadership role in mobile cancer screening. The funds raised by West’s team have facilitated the creation of a state-of-the-art mobile unit, scheduled to provide services later this year. This unit aims to increase access to cancer screenings in underserved communities, offering advanced services such as 3D mammography, and additional initiatives like vaccine distribution and biospecimen collection to further cancer research.
