WAYNE, PA — Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN) has announced the appointment of Jed Rhoads, a seasoned reinsurance executive with over 40 years of industry experience, to its Board of Directors. Rhoads brings extensive expertise in managing global reinsurance operations and assessing risk across a broad range of specialties, making him a valuable addition to Radian’s leadership team.

Rhoads’ career includes notable senior executive roles at Markel Group Inc., where he served as President and Chief Underwriting Officer for its Global Reinsurance Division until his retirement in 2022. At Markel, Rhoads oversaw a global reinsurance business that spanned more than 25 lines, including mortgage, general liability, property catastrophe, and aviation. Prior to Markel, Rhoads held leadership positions at companies such as Harbor Point Re Bermuda, Chubb Re Bermuda, and Stockton Reinsurance Bermuda, solidifying his reputation as an expert in underwriting and risk management.

A graduate of Beloit College in Wisconsin, Rhoads notably pursued his studies as a Kemper Scholar, highlighting his early dedication to excellence in finance and risk management.
