WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center has introduced a Cardiac Rehabilitation program designed to enhance recovery and quality of life for heart patients. This new initiative focuses on reducing symptoms, improving independence, and decreasing disability for individuals recovering from heart conditions, surgical procedures, or at risk for cardiovascular disease.
The program is led by Dr. Aman Khaji, a board-certified cardiologist with extensive expertise in cardiovascular disease, electrophysiology, and echocardiography. Dr. Khaji is affiliated with Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital and Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital. He is also a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, London.
“West Chester developed this new specialty program to help meet area healthcare demand,” said Erin Popelak, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which provides support to West Chester. “Dr. Khaji is highly respected in the region for his expertise in cardiology and warm manner, and West Chester is pleased to have him join its clinical leadership team to lead this next-level Cardiac Rehabilitation offering.”
This latest addition complements West Chester’s other physician-led programs, including its Pulmonary Rehabilitation initiative led by pulmonologist Dr. Anthony Flaim.
Located at 800 W. Miner Street, West Chester Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is a 180-bed facility offering post-hospital care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term residential care. Marquis Health Consulting Services, based in Brick, N.J., provides administrative and consulting support to West Chester and other facilities along the Eastern Seaboard, fostering quality improvement through multi-specialty healthcare approaches.
