MALVERN, PA — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) has launched a series of 27 surface-mount rectifiers in its low-profile DFN33A package. These include standard and Trench MOS Barrier Schottky (TMBS®) rectifiers, delivering compact, high-performance solutions for industries such as automotive, telecom, and industrial applications.
The DFN33A package, measuring just 3.3 mm by 3.3 mm with a height of 0.88 mm, significantly reduces footprint compared to conventional designs. Standard rectifiers support up to 6 A, while TMBS models stand out with industry-leading current ratings of up to 9 A. These devices operate at voltages ranging from 60 V to 600 V and are available as Automotive Grade, AEC-Q101 qualified versions.
Designed for high-frequency inverters, DC/DC converters, and systems requiring high efficiency, the rectifiers offer high-temperature resistance up to +175 °C, low forward voltage drops, and minimal leakage current to enhance operational efficiency. The wettable flanks of the DFN33A package enable automatic optical inspection, eliminating the need for time-intensive X-ray inspections.
“These rectifiers meet growing demands for space savings and thermal performance, offering a compact yet robust solution for modern circuit designs,” said the company in a statement.
The devices adhere to rigorous standards, being RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and resistant to whiskering, making them ideal for automated processes.
Vishay’s latest innovations position the company to address evolving challenges in power efficiency, spotlighting its effort to advance semiconductor technology for diverse global markets.
