PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Bluebird Distilling has introduced Townie Whiskey, a new line of whiskeys designed to capture the essence of hometown bars and their regular patrons. Available in three variations, Regular Townie Bourbon Whiskey, Fine Townie Rye Whiskey, and First-Class Townie Bourbon Whiskey, these offerings are crafted to be both accessible and flavorful, with prices ranging from $34.99 to $39.99.
Conceptualized by Jared Adkins, founder and owner of Bluebird Distilling, Townie Whiskey is meant to be an unpretentious addition to the brand’s scratch-made spirits. “There is a time and place for craft whiskey, but I was looking to make something to complement our line of scratch-made spirits at Bluebird Distilling,” said Adkins. “Something more approachable in both drinkability and price point. We settled on making something for the townspeople that gives each hometown bar its spirit.”
The production process involves selecting barrels from esteemed distilleries across North America and blending them to create a high-quality, affordable product. The line includes:
- Regular Townie Bourbon Whiskey: Aged 4-5 years, this 84-proof whiskey offers notes of vanilla, toffee, and marshmallow.
- Fine Townie Rye Whiskey: An 86-proof rye with flavors of baking spice and leather, designed for simplicity and quality.
- First-Class Townie Bourbon Whiskey: A richer, 100-proof bourbon aged for at least six years, featuring sweet corn, brown sugar, and cinnamon notes.
Townie Whiskey is available at 50 Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores throughout Pennsylvania and can be shipped to 41 states via towniewhiskey.com. Pittsburgh locals can enjoy these new spirits at Helltown Brewing, among other establishments.
Emphasizing the brand’s local roots, Anthony Labresco, Townie Brand Ambassador, shared, “We’re proud townies who enjoy a fancy cocktail but sometimes, after a long day, you really just need a shot and a beer. So, here’s to raising a glass to the local bar that put your hometown on the map!”
The launch is accompanied by a short film featuring a restored 1972 Chevrolet El Camino, a nod to the brand’s commitment to celebrating simple pleasures and community spirit.
