EXTON, PA — Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY) announced that OpenGround, its geotechnical data management software, has reached FedRAMP® In Process status. This achievement marks Bentley’s first product to advance in the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, which ensures government use of secure cloud solutions. OpenGround is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace under Bentley for Government.
FedRAMP evaluates cloud providers through rigorous testing, protecting federal systems from cyber threats. Bentley’s OpenGround, categorized under the program’s moderate level, enables U.S. federal engineers and contractors to access digital tools aligned with strict data security standards. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, a major user of Bentley’s tools, is acting as a federal sponsor for this milestone.
“Bentley is committed to ensuring infrastructure engineers working for U.S. federal agencies and contractors have access to secure, cloud-connected solutions that meet federal standards for confidentiality, integrity, and availability,” said Julien Moutte, Chief Technology Officer at Bentley Systems.
Bentley plans to expand its federal compliance initiatives with ProjectWise, its infrastructure project delivery software, set to undergo the same process. The company is also pursuing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) authorization, aiming to simplify cloud adoption for the Department of Defense.
With these advancements, Bentley highlights its effort to support secure, efficient, and collaborative infrastructure solutions for government projects.
