EXTON, PA — United Safety & Survivability Corporation, a Pennsylvania-based global leader in safety and survivability solutions, has announced the acquisition of Fire Protection Technologies (FPT), a PON Company. The deal, completed on November 29th, 2023, marks United Safety’s eighth acquisition in Australia and further strengthens its footprint in the global fire suppression industry.
Joseph Mirabile, President and CEO of United Safety, stated that the acquisition of FPT underscores the company’s commitment to targeted acquisitions that enhance their global footprint and product portfolio. “We are excited to welcome Fire Protection Technologies into our global family,” said Mirabile. “This acquisition will further strengthen our growing market share within the fire suppression industry.”
For over 25 years, FPT has offered world-class products and independent special hazards design knowledge to the fire protection industry. Anthony Stagg, CEO of FPT, sees this acquisition as an opportunity for greater capacity to support customers, while broadening their product and service offerings. “We will continue to offer the same world-class products and professional services, and look forward to being part of the United Safety family,” he added.
Kristian Bischoff, CEO of United Safety Australia, also expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. “This is an exciting moment to partner with a quality fire business that provides engineered solutions and presence across the fire protection industry,” said Bischoff. “The acquisition will allow us to grow our footprint within Australia while also broadening our impact globally.”
The acquisition aligns with the vision of Dubin Clark & Company, a private equity investment firm located in Jacksonville, Florida, which owns United Safety. Michael Hompesch, a partner at Dubin Clark and a board member of United Safety, explained that the acquisition reinforces their commitment to investing in businesses that advance safety technologies, specifically within the fire suppression space. “We believe that this strategic expansion will enhance United Safety’s market position within the fire safety industry and shows our confidence in the corporation’s ability to deliver value to customers globally,” Hompesch concluded.
