KENNETT SQUARE, PA — LTC ACO has announced a successful reconciliation and settlement under the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) for the 2023 performance year, marking a decade of participation in the program. This achievement underlines the organization’s commitment to enhancing care for high-need populations, especially those in long-term care facilities.
LTC ACO attributed its success to over 16,000 Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries, generating nearly $60 million in total savings for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This resulted in $44.1 million in shared savings for the organization. Over the years, LTC ACO has saved Medicare more than $132 million, emphasizing its dedication to delivering cost-effective and high-quality care.
Jason Feuerman, President and CEO of LTC ACO, expressed pride in the accomplishment, stating, “We are extremely proud to announce that LTC ACO and our participating practices have once again achieved shared savings under the CMS Medicare Shared Savings Program, generating one of the highest savings rates on a per beneficiary basis in the country.” He attributed these results to the unwavering dedication of the participating providers committed to improving care for Medicare beneficiaries in long-term care settings.
Looking forward, LTC ACO plans to expand its services to include assisted living facilities, continuing its leadership in providing value-based care. As the organization celebrates its 10th year in the MSSP, Feuerman reaffirmed its mission: “As we enter our 10th year of MSSP participation, our mission remains focused on enabling the success of our partners in value-based care by providing innovative and effective insights and interventions.”
The organization’s efforts highlight the potential of value-based care solutions to transform healthcare quality for long-stay facility residents, promising continued advancements in the sector.
