POTTSTOWN, PA — SCORE TriCounty is celebrating National Volunteer Month by spotlighting the critical role its volunteers play in nurturing small business success. Through their dedication and expertise, these volunteers are helping entrepreneurs launch, grow, and sustain businesses that create jobs and build a stronger local economy.
Over the course of fiscal year 2024, SCORE TriCounty’s volunteers provided 731 mentoring sessions to 292 entrepreneurs. The organization’s impact underscores its commitment to developing small businesses through expert guidance and support.
“SCORE is the most effective source of small business mentoring in the U.S.,” said SCORE TriCounty Co-chair Tom Gosse. “We are proud to be making a positive difference right here in our local community.”
According to SCORE, entrepreneurs who receive mentoring for three or more hours consistently report higher revenues and measurable business growth. This statistic emphasizes the value of mentorship in driving success for small businesses, particularly those seeking to find their footing in competitive markets.
SCORE offers a variety of resources tailored to every phase of the entrepreneurial journey, equipping business owners with tools and insights to reach their goals. Nationwide, more than 10,000 SCORE volunteers dedicate their time to advancing entrepreneurship.
“We are grateful to the more than 10,000 SCORE volunteers nationwide who selflessly dedicate their time and business expertise to help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams,” said SCORE CEO Bridget Weston.
National Volunteer Month, observed annually in April, honors the contributions of volunteers across different sectors and encourages more people to get involved in community service. For individuals looking to make an impact, volunteering as a SCORE mentor provides an opportunity to guide the next generation of business owners and strengthen the economic fabric of the community.
SCORE TriCounty continues to demonstrate the power of volunteerism in creating lasting change, paving the way for aspiring entrepreneurs to dream big and achieve more. Visit www.score.org to find local volunteer opportunities or request a small business mentor.
