WEST CHESTER, PA — Green Lawn Fertilizing/Green Pest Solutions has awarded a brand-new 2025 Ford F-150 to Kym Hunter, a pest technician, as part of the company’s dedication to promoting safety through its fleet initiatives. The award was presented during the company’s 2025 kickoff meeting held at the Hall of Fame Club inside Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
Kym Hunter stood out among 90 finalists who earned their place in the contest through their outstanding safety records and high driver scores, which were calculated using fleet tracking software Azuga. The program tracks behaviors such as braking, speeding, acceleration, and idling to ensure vehicles are operated safely. Finalists earned entries into the raffle based on their scores, with higher scores earning more entries.
Founder and CEO Matt Jesson underscored the company’s commitment to safety during the event. “Green Lawn Fertilizing and Green Pest Solutions is committed to making sure we are all operating in the safest ways possible, and we wanted to promote our culture of safety through our truck giveaway contest. These 90 technicians demonstrated their commitment to safety across an entire year and I could not be prouder to be standing in front of them today.”
The highlight of the event came when Matt Jesson drew the winning name, declaring, “And the winner of the Green Lawn Fertilizing/Green Pest Solutions Safety Contest is Kym Hunter!” Overwhelmed with emotion, Kym shared, “It hasn’t hit me yet! I’m totally in shock. I don’t know what to tell you right now.”
To qualify for the contest, technicians had to be full-time team members as of April 1, 2024, and maintain a clean safety record for the year, with no at-fault vehicle accidents. This marks the fourth consecutive year Green Lawn Fertilizing/Green Pest Solutions has raffled off a truck as part of its ongoing focus on driver safety.
Kym Hunter, who has been with the company since March 2024, received the ultimate reward for his commitment to safe driving practices. The company also announced that it will continue its tradition by giving away another Ford F-150 next year, further incentivizing the team to prioritize safety.
The program serves as a strong testament to the company’s investment in its employees and their dedication to creating a culture of safety on the road.
