WEST CHESTER, PA — The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce will honor CTDI, Mac Neilon, and the West Chester Fire Department at its 2024 Annual Banquet. This event, set for Thursday, October 10, 2024, at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern, celebrates those who have made significant contributions to the West Chester community.
The Annual Banquet, sponsored by My Benefit Advisor, highlights individuals and organizations that positively influenced the community over the past year. The evening will include cocktails and dinner, offering attendees a chance to celebrate and network.
CTDI will receive the 2023 Business of the Year Award, sponsored by West Chester University. Founded in 1975 by Don, Jerry, and Richard Parsons in their family garage, CTDI is recognized for its commitment to corporate social responsibility. The company’s history of volunteerism and charitable giving has made a lasting impact on the local community.
Mac Neilon, a retired small business owner and active Rotarian, will be honored as the 2023 Outstanding Citizen of the Year. Neilon’s dedication to volunteer work has greatly benefited the West Chester community, making him a deserving recipient of this award.
The West Chester Fire Department will receive the 2023 Community Service Organization Award, sponsored by Fulton Bank. The department comprises the First West Chester, Good Will, and Fame Fire Companies. These 100% volunteer firefighters serve not only West Chester Borough but also West Goshen, East Bradford, Westtown, Birmingham, and Thornbury Townships. Responding to over 1,200 calls annually, the department’s commitment to safety and service is commendable.
