WEST CHESTER, PA — The Fred Beans Automotive Group has announced a new initiative to combat hunger during the holiday season. Beginning on Black Friday, November 29, and running through the end of the year, the company will donate to food banks with every vehicle sold across its dealerships.
The campaign aims to sell 4,000 vehicles, projecting that the funds raised will provide 100,000 meals for those in need. This ambitious goal doubles last year’s contribution of 50,000 meals from a similar effort.
“This is the time to buy a new car or truck,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group. “We not only provide extra savings and incentives on our vehicles, but we do so with the intention to make a difference with each sale.”
The company is also collecting nonperishable food items to supplement its financial donations. Contributions will benefit several local organizations, including Bread of Heaven Food Pantry in Abington, the Bucks County Opportunity Council, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Flemington Area Food Pantry, the Salvation Army of Boyertown, the Salvation Army of West Chester, the Washington Community Food Pantry, and Willow Grove Baptist Church Food Pantry.
Fred Beans Automotive Group has maintained a strong commitment to fighting hunger, launching its first meal donation challenge during the pandemic in May 2020. That year, the company aimed to provide 500,000 meals and has since continued charitable campaigns, including encouraging employees to volunteer at hunger relief organizations with paid time off.
Through this latest campaign, the company continues its dedication to giving back to the community while delivering value to its customers. With the collective efforts of its staff, customers, and community partners, Fred Beans Automotive Group hopes to make a significant impact on hunger relief this holiday season.
