LOUIS, MO — AscellaHealth has announced the expansion of Optime Care, its renowned specialty pharmacy and patient management organization, with a new facility at its corporate headquarters in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. This new site, spanning approximately six thousand square feet, is set to accommodate 40 new hires, significantly boosting the company’s capability to manage specialty patient populations and support life science partnerships across the East Coast and globally.
Bill Oldham, chairman and president of AscellaHealth, emphasized the strategic advantage of the new location, stating, “The office’s close proximity to numerous regional clients will enhance communication flows across projects and product commercialization initiatives.” He added, “It expands our capacity to deliver comprehensive specialty pharmacy services across a broader geographic area.”
The facility aims to mirror the services offered at the St. Louis headquarters, ensuring the seamless distribution of specialty medications and supporting business continuity. Stephanie Wasilewski, PharmD, general manager of Optime Care, highlighted the operational benefits, noting, “The Philadelphia area site will mirror many of our existing services while ensuring the seamless distribution of specialty drugs from our St. Louis specialty pharmacy.”
With the expansion, AscellaHealth is poised to deliver enhanced patient support programs and foster long-term customer value through personalized care management. The build-out is expected to be completed later this year or early in 2025, reinforcing the company’s ability to provide timely access to life-changing therapies for patients with complex, chronic, and rare conditions.
