WEST CHESTER, PA — Venerable has strengthened its leadership team with the announcement of two new executive appointments and the promotion of two long-serving team members. George Alvites has joined as Vice President, Head of Audit, while Angie Ellis has been named Vice President, Compliance. Additionally, Susan Clark has been promoted to Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner, and Alexandra Findleton to Vice President, Corporate Development.
Leadership Additions
George Alvites, a seasoned executive with over 20 years of audit and risk management experience, will lead Venerable’s internal audit function. His role involves overseeing audits, evaluating controls, and ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and procedures. Alvites brings a wealth of expertise from prior leadership roles at Prudential Financial, General Electric Capital Corporation, and other industry leaders, and holds several professional certifications. He will be based in Venerable’s West Chester offices.
Angie Ellis, who also joins the leadership team, will direct compliance functions and guide organizational adherence to state and federal regulations. With nearly two decades of experience in insurance compliance, Ellis previously supported broker-dealer compliance at Athene and held roles within Venerable and its predecessor companies. She is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and brings deep regulatory knowledge to her new position.
Celebrated Promotions
Susan Clark has been promoted to Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner, marking a new chapter in her nearly 20-year tenure at Venerable. Having played pivotal roles during the company’s standup in 2018 and its earlier IPO transition, Clark will continue to provide strategic HR consulting and lead programs including talent acquisition and performance management.
Alexandra Findleton’s promotion to Vice President, Corporate Development reflects her significant contributions since joining in 2019. Findleton oversees reinsurance and merger and acquisition strategies and focuses on enhancing Venerable’s risk profile. Her expertise in financial analysis and insurance models bolsters the company’s trajectory toward long-term sustainability and growth.
